Our stair moulds are crafted from high-quality, durable, sturdy timber and 18m-birch plywood. Our stair moulds are typically filled through the underside of the unit; however, our moulds can also be made to be filled on edge offering a superior finish to the treads, risers and soffit of the precast stair unit.

Due to our extensive experience, we have discovered that helical or winding staircases can be achieved by making the mould ‘as cast’, by CNC machining the soffit of the mould and running boards across the inner and outer walls. In the past, this has proved to be the most successful method.

Our stair moulds are subject to the same level of finishing as a timber mould, namely 3 coats of polyurethane mould varnish. Once finished and assembled, your stair mould can be delivered anywhere.

As you can see from the examples below, we have worked on many successful stair mould projects, and you can see how our moulds can be utilised. For example, there was a requirement for some architectural stair flights, so hardwood strips were used to cloak the seen plywood edge which would ordinarily be present on a stair mould.
