In modern years, construction has taken on more of an aesthetical role as well as a practical one. People are looking for ways to utilise well-trusted products and add their own unique markings or style. Formliners are one such way this can be done, injecting a variation of designs and patterns onto concrete walls easily and effectively. But what are they? And will they suit your needs? Read on to learn all you need to know about form liners.
What Are Form liners?
Predominantly, the form liners we produce are manufactured from PU rubber and they are a means of creating large areas of detail, these can be placed in the base of a timber mould to be used at a precast facility or indeed, in situ which makes them ideal for processes such as bridge detailing.
The process will generally work in tandem with the CAD department who will produce the details required before running the components on a CNC router. Form liners can be simple by design, for example, simple ribs and recesses, or they can be more intricate and hold detailing such as crests or coats of arms. They are fit for multi-use due to the material used in production.
