CNC (computer numerical control) machines are now widely used in the industry allowing us to manufacture items for all aspects of the business. A lot of research and development for projects is undertaken both at programming and sample stage. Our CNC programmers are able to breakdown information and re-model making allowances for mould construction, this information is then posted to the CNC router where the items are then machined.
At 3D Pattern and Mould maker’s, we utilise a CNC Router that runs Mastercam 2018 and 2020.
We are capable of working on different sized projects as our machine can cut a depth of up to 300mm and can cut sheet material up to 3000mm x 1220mm. Our machine also has a 12 tool auto changer, which allows rapid tool changes where necessary.
Our Cad team will work closely with you to ensure that the product you need is produced efficiently and that your overall requirements are met. To further meet the expectations of our customer base there are plans to add a 5 axis CNC router in 2020.
The examples shown below illustrate the variety of ways that CNC machining aids construction and allows us to undertake a huge variety of work, from plywood machined formers for timber mould construction to model board, cut and machined to produce a pattern for GRP or rubber mould manufacture, 3D Pattern and Mould Makers have the resource to service your requirement.
If you have any questions about CNC Routers, do not hesitate to contact a member of the 3D Pattern and Mould Maker’s team. Our team at 3D Pattern and Mould Maker’s is always on hand to help answer any pressing questions or queries you might have.
